This is the negative with contrast enhancement, clearly showing a bridge of low-luminance material extending from the galaxy NGC 4319 to the quasar Markarian 205.   Why did the STScI folks show the underexposed image and claim with breathless press release it was proof no connection existed, and that the quasar-redshift controversy was thereby settled for good?   Settled for bad is the truth. That's fraud with the public's money, folks, to say nothing of the unforgivable scientific dishonesty.  Quasars are ejected from galaxies as new matter, which produce discrete quantized steps of redshifted spectra as it ages.  Look it up
