There is evil in our world, and there is intellectual foolishness so vast, so myopic, so self-absorbed, so backwards, fatuous, and factually dishonest, that it might as well be evil. 

It boggles the brain that the NYT published the NSA wiretap story, or as the reflexive Bush-haters of CBS NEWS insist on calling it, "domestic eavesdropping".  (Well, we've learned better than to trust CBS for any portion of the truth by now, esp. as the Bushes are concerned, and the Times is just insane, has been for a long time).  But this story represents a new low, or alternatively, the Nero-esque height of intellectually evil foolishness for those who live at the officially and murderously designated "Ground Zero".  Fine.  When NYC disappears in the next cloud of dust, it won't be there when the wind clears the island, and Pinch and Jim will be gone, along with most of the rest of the Leftist fools infesting Manhattan.  Bingo!  End of our elite-media shitheads problem, and a bonus!!:  this way, we won't have to listen to them blame us for the attack or bemoan our "primitive, phallocentric" response.  Got quite enough of that after 9/11.  Thank you Osama, for getting this horribly misguided filthy fifth column out of our way, so that we can get on with the business at hand, of rooting out such pure and crystalline evildoers as you.  Hurry up, won't you?   <---  [bitter satire]

Can you doubt for a second that Osama is serious?  Are you Walter Pincus, impenetrable delphic font of arcana on nukes, who seems utterly unconcerned about the possibility Osama may succeed in blowing him away with his entire city, a possibility most other experts say is quite real?  What secret sanguinity keeps you from worrying about this problem?  Do you really believe Bush is a bigger threat to our future democracy than the enemies he's trying to uncover?  Surely you don't hold to the demented paranoia that has it that he wants a new attack--the bigger the better--in order to justify becoming a dictator?  And do you really think putting Leftists in charge of national security--given their unremitting history of misidentifying the enemy and of antipathy for our intel and military services--makes any sense at all???
